 It is hard to believe, but ten years ago on May 8th, 1998 this web site was first launched. In'S'anity? Perhaps, but the site lives on a decade later.
Speaking of insanity, I've been working hard on an all new S-CARS.ORG web site as a way to celebrate our first ten years and to launch the next ten. I have a few issues to sort out with the new site and then I will be able to start moving all of the content from the current site over to the new one. A daunting task for sure, but it must be done. My dream of being able to launch the all new site on the tenth anniversary date turned out to be just that... a dream. Have no fear though, work goes on and I'll unveil the new site as soon as I am able.
Thank you to all of you who have contributed FAQ content, donations, photos, and even emails over the last ten years. Audi S and RS series enthusiasts are an awfully friendly bunch of people but I'm sure that you, the reader, already know that!

 Audi Tradition celebrates 25 years of Sport quattro
Audi Sport quattro Group B rally car and five series-production Sport quattros at the Techno Classica in Essen. Starting signal for future Audi Tradition limited edition model car of the year.
The Audi Sport quattro has just turned 25 years of age. In 1983, the "Shorty", as it was affectionately known, caused a sensation as the most powerful series-produced German car. It is thus logical that Audi Tradition will be represented at the 20th Techno Classica in Essen, Germany (from 26 to 30 March 2008) with the motto "25 years of Audi Sport quattro". The five featured series-production vehicles will not be the only highlights on the Audi stand in Hall Seven. As a special feature, Audi Tradition will be presenting the latest addition to its own historic collection: the Audi Sport quattro Group B rally car. There are only five remaining examples of this race car worldwide. New from this year: Audi Tradition will now be offering a strictly limited edition (333 units) 1:43-scale model car of the year, the first of which can be purchased at the Techno Classica. In 2008 this is an Audi Sport quattro in orange.

 AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Audi will be the official automotive sponsor of Art Chicago, America’s longest-running international modern and contemporary art fair. During Art Chicago, Audi will introduce the Audi RS 4 Art car created by Brazilian-born Pop artist Romero Britto.
Involvement in contemporary art and design has long been a component of Audi’s corporate culture – partnering with some of the world’s most renown shows – among them Design Miami/ 2006, the Armory Show 2007 in New York and latest Art Chicago. “Being involved in cutting-edge art events is a natural fit for Audi as a progressive premium brand” says Johan de Nysschen, Executive Vice President in charge of Audi of America. “Art Chicago is another opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to design by exhibiting the RS 4 Art Car which is a piece of art on its own.”

 There are cars and dream cars. The latter includes Lamborghini’s Gallardo, Ferrari’s F430 or Porsche’s 911 Turbo. These cars make your heart beat faster and show the perfected magic of speed on the roads. Abt Sportsline’s R8 will also be among these outstanding super sports cars and is getting ready to overtake them in the prestige duel.

 S-CARS.ORG was built as a community based content management system.
Are you an S-CAR owner and enthusiast that would like to help create new content, FAQs, etc. or simply help manage what is already here on the site? If so I would encourage you to contact me and introduce yourself. If you are selected, you will be given site editor status which will enable to you actively contribute and edit the content on this site. Feel creative? Here is your outlet!
I'd love to pump some new life into the S-CARS site for 2007 but I cannot do it alone. It would be wonderful to find some model specific expert enthusiasts looking to use their talents to make the site better. You can be a contributing editor or head up an entire division (I.E. S8 Division Editor)
All division editors will be given an S-CARS.ORG email alias as well as some other organizational bonuses.
The rules:
Site editors will have pretty much free creative control of their content but they will be expected to adhere to a few simple rules.
1. English language. (We may look into installing some language translation packages during the first quarter of '07 though)
2. Professional and polite. The site is PG rated.
3. Respect intellectual copyrights. Get permission before reposting info from elsewhere online and give credit.
4. Have fun... it isn't a job it is an outlet for you to express your creatively and meet a lot of interesting fellow S and RS car owners from around the world.
